Ulster University offers bursaries to support eligible students.

Widening Access Bursary

Ulster University provides a Widening Access Bursary of 10% off the total annual tuition fee for eligible students.

To qualify, students must:

  • Be ordinarily resident in Northern Ireland.
  • Be registered on a full-time undergraduate degree or PGCE
  • Have a household residual income of £19,203 or less
  • Hold a UK bank account for payment

For academic year 2025/2026, the bursary is £485.50, normally paid on the last Monday in March.
