The book explores how competing worldviews impact on intergroup relations and building a sustainable peace in culturally diverse societies. It raises the question of what happens in a culturally diverse society when competing values and ways of interpreting reality collide and what this means for peace-building and the goal of reconciliation.

In the words of Brandon Hamber (John Hume and Thomas P. O’Neill Chair in Peace) this is “a fascinating and well-researched book that shows that a failure to understand the worldview of the ‘other’ hardens intergroup boundaries, as such the findings are relevant to myriad of contexts across the globe.”

Prof John Brewer (QUB) and Prof Brandon Hamber (Ulster University) will discuss the insights from this book.

Light refreshments will be served, please register for catering purposes.
