The Scottish Referendum: What Happens After?
|Event Name||The Scottish Referendum: What Happens After?|
|Start Date||15th May 2014 5:00pm|
September's referendum on Scottish independence will have far-reaching implications no matter what the result. A Yes vote will not just lead to negotiations for Scotland to become a separate state, but further changes to institutions and public policies in the remaining parts of the UK. A No vote will lead to further devolution for Scotland, with implications for Wales and Northern Ireland, including a possible constitutional convention. This lecture will examine what happens in either case, and particularly what it might mean for Northern Ireland.
A drinks reception will follow the lecture.
