Connections and Reconnections in Irish Studies

The conference has attracted over 100 speakers from many discipline within Irish Studies. A number of the papers expressly addresses the interconnections between Canada and Ulster, whether historical, literary, artistic or performative. Speakers will be joining us from all over Ireland, the UK, and continental Europe, and from Asia, the US, Canada and South America. This promises to be a truly international event.

What will be happening

The conference will feature a walking tour of the city walls, music, drama, and recitals. We will complete the events with a gala dinner in the heart of the historical walled city of Derry.

We will hear papers in both English and Irish, and will support this with a booklet of abstracts in English.

The full schedule of speakers will be announced in March.
