Dr Lucas Lixinski is Associate Professor at Faculty of Law, UNSW Sydney, Australia. He writes primarily in the areas of international cultural heritage law and international human rights law, with some emphasis on transitional justice. Among his latest publications on transitional justice are ‘Confederate Monuments and International Law’, 35(3) Wisconsin International Law Journal 549-608 (2018); ‘A Critical Mapping of Transitional Justice in Latin America’, In: Comparative Constitutional Law in Latin America 87-107 (Rosalind Dixon, Tom Ginsburg eds) (Cheltenham, Edward Elgar 2017); and ‘Cultural Heritage Law and Transitional Justice: Lessons from South Africa’, 9(2) International Journal of Transitional Justice 278-196 (2015). This presentation is part of a monograph, titled Legalized Identities: Cultural Heritage Law and the Shaping of Transitional Justice, to be published by Cambridge University Press in 2021.
