What did you love most about being a student at Ulster?

My Ulster University course made me job ready. I loved the forward-looking approach.

The software I used at university, was exactly what I needed to learn about for the real world, plus the skills and knowledge that my lecturers passed on were invaluable.

How did you get from graduation to where you are now?

I secured a great job during my placement year at UU, where I gained valuable skills that really set me up for my future. I moved to Perth, Western Australia in 2011 where I secured employment as Architectural Technician and BIM Model Manager for a great company called Hames Sharley.

I really fell in love with Australia, the lifestyle, the people and most importantly the weather.

I have since worked for different firms as a BIM Manager in Australia and currently have a great role as BIM Manager at John McAslan & Partners.

My course at Ulster University helped structure my career journey to date.
