Details on how to enrol on your course for new and returning students.
Congratulations on receiving a place to study at Ulster University.
All the information you need will be detailed in your joining instructions, which you should have received by email.
You can also follow us on social media #ReadyForUU for further advice and information.
Your joining instructions will provide you with information on:
- How to Enrol on your course, which opens on Thursday 26 August 2021 for new students
- How to upload a photo for your student ID card
- The dates and times of your course induction schedule which is mandatory and will provide you with valuable information

An Enrolment Guide which explains the enrolment process and provides information on fees is available below:
All returning students, including students on a placement or an intercalary year must enrol each year in order to:
- Confirm your personal details
- Receive your student loan
- Access Blackboard Learn Online for teaching materials.
How to enrol - returning students
Online enrolment for the new academic year is open from 9.00am on Thursday 2 September 2021.
To enrol, you will need your Student ID number, beginning B00 and your PIN (a six digit number, originally set to your date of birth).
Information on your module choices can be accessed via the Module Catalogue.
If you are still unsure of your module choices, you can contact your Course Director for further guidance.
You can amend your personal information, confirm your course and module choices and pay your tuition fees, all through Online Enrolment.
You can also access your network password on Banner Self Service by clicking View Personal Information page.
Resit and Placement Students
If you had to resit exams, resubmit coursework or are returning from placement, you will not be able to enrol until your progress has been approved by a Board of Examiners which is normally towards the end of the second week in September.
Outstanding tuition fees
Students with an outstanding tuition fee debt will not be able to register in 2021/22 until their tuition fee debt has been settled. When the outstanding tuition fees have been paid in full, it will take up to two working days before you will be able to register.

Online Enrolment Helpline
If you have any queries about your online enrolment, for example your Student ID or PIN Number, or have difficulty completing the online enrolment screens, you can contact the Online Enrolment helpline number +44(0)28 7012 3450
The helpline will operate until the end of September and is available from 10am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 10am to 3pm on Friday.
Outside of these dates please contact your campus Registry Office if you are having difficulties with your online enrolment.
