Eilish Rooney is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sociology and Applied Social Studies at Ulster University and a member of the Transitional Justice Institute (TJI). She teaches on the BSc Hons Community Development. Her research focus is feminist intersectionality theory and women's equality in post-conflict societies. She facilitated Bridge of Hope's pilot Transitional Justice programme during 2010-2012 and authored: Transitional Justice Grassroots Toolkit (2012), Transitional Justice Grassroots Engagement (2012) and Transitional Justice Grassroots Toolkit: User's Guide (2014). The current TJI – Bridge of Hope partnership involves development of the TJ Grassroots Teaching Manual and training programme.
