Dr Anna McKeever
Research Associate in Corruption and Human Rights Initiative
Anna is a research associate working on corruption in Central Asia. She received her PhD in Political Science from Ulster University in July 2018. Anna’s research interests include party politics, immigration and populism. Her current research examines the role of organised interests in immigration policy change, explaining why political elites respond to demands of some actors, but not others.
Her doctoral research explored immigration policy change of conservative parties in the UK, Switzerland and France. Her first book Immigration Policy and Right-Wing Populism is forthcoming with Palgrave Macmillan in 2019. Prior to becoming a research associate for the project on corruption and human rights, she has worked as a sessional lecturer in Ulster University, teaching qualitative methods and politics courses.
