Jordanstown Summer Camps 2018

Welcome to the Ulster University JUNIOR ELKS Summer Camp programme for 2018 at the Jordanstown campus.

This Summer Camps Brochure includes details of the Camps that will be held during the summer holiday period.

There is a range of activities to choose from so we hope you will find something to enjoy and benefit from.  Each Camp will be planned and delivered by appropriately qualified coaches to ensure a top quality experience for all involved.

Jordanstown Camp Options

The sports coaching element of the day will run from 10:00 until 15:00 daily and in addition to these core coaching hours we are offering supervised ‘Active Elks’ sessions before and after the coaching to enable working parents to better manage the drop off and collection of JUNIOR ELKS Camp participants.

Participants will have four options to choose from for the Camp of their choice:

Option One: Junior Elks Camp Coaching Only

10:00 – 15:00

Option Two: Junior Elks Camp – Start Early

09:00 – 10:00 = Active Elks

10:00 – 15:00 = Coaching

Option Three: Junior Elks Camp – Finish Late

10:00 – 15:00 = Coaching

15:00 – 17:00 = Active Elks

Option Four: Junior Elks Camp – Full Day

09:00 – 10:00 = Active Elks

10:00 – 15:00 = Coaching

15:00 – 17:00 = Active Elks

The Active Elks Sessions will provide a range of supervised non-sporting activities within an appropriate safe environment, aimed at helping busy parents work around their schedule.

All staff will have undergone recent Access NI checks, hold appropriate qualifications and will have experience working with the age group they are supervising.


More about Junior Elks camps

Junior Elks Camps provide an opportunity for children to try different sports, develop new and existing skills, to meet friends and have fun in a safe, appropriate environment.

The Junior Elks Camp programme gives children aged 4 - 15 years of age the opportunity to come onto our University campuses during the main holiday periods to utilise our range of first class facilities and benefit from the high quality coaching that is offered by our staff, graduates and students.

  • There are a range of activities to choose from, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
  • Each camp will be planned and delivered by suitably qualified coaches to ensure each child has a really positive Camp experience.
  • Coaching will run each day from 10:00 until 15:00 and all camps offer a price reduction for the second or any additional children applying. This applies for family members or friends, providing the applications are received together. The price reduction will also apply to any individual attending more than one camp providing the applications are received together. 
  • Girls and Boys are encouraged to attend and other than where stated in the Application Form, no previous experience in an activity is required.
  • Camps will be filled on a first come first served basis, so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
