Babe in Arms Policy
The Riverside is a family-friendly venue and adopts a babe in arms policy for its auditorium. Young children who are aged up to 2 years old and can sit on a parent/guardians knee, are not required to have a ticket. However, children aged 3 years and over must have a ticket for performances.
Whilst we do not have a specific breastfeeding policy, we have a wider ‘Children on University Premises’ Policy which states that ‘the University supports breastfeeding in any low risk area.’ By low-risk, we mean non-hazardous areas
We want all of our visitors to feel comfortable and some visitors may decide that they would prefer a private area to breastfeed. So if that is the case, please do speak with a member of staff and we will endeavour to make a private area available.
