Professor Fionnuala Ní Aoláin is confirmed as a candidate for the role of UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism.
The Special Rapporteur appointments will be confirmed at the 35th session of the Human Rights Council 6th-23rd June 2017.
