Dr Cheryl Lawther is a lecturer in Criminology at Queen's University Belfast. Her research interests are in the fields of transitional justice, truth recovery, the politics of victimhood, ex-combatants and conflict resolution.
Key publications include 'Truth, Denial and Transition: Northern Ireland and the Contested Past'(Routledge, 2014), and "Securing' the Past: Policing and the Contest over Truth in Northern Ireland', in the British Journal of Criminology and awarded the Brian Williams Article Prize.
