The Doctoral Midwifery Research Society (DMRS)

The DMRS was founded by Professor Marlene Sinclair in 2007 and is funded by the Northern Ireland Public Health Agency HSC/R&D Office.

The main aim of the DMRS is to provide a platform for dissemination of maternal and child health research (ideally but not exclusively) at pre and post-doctoral level.

It is an open resource of support and information for all childbirth researchers from every nationality and country in the world.

MFIR  is a  World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for the Surveillance of Congenital Anomalies

The Centre for Maternal, Fetal and Infant Health (MFIR) is home to the Central Registry of the European Surveillance of Congenital Anomaly Network, which is designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for the Surveillance of Congenital Anomalies (November 2002-May 2015).

ENCePP Centre

MFIR is also a partner centre of the European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance ( ENCePP) scientific network which is coordinated by the European Medicines Agency.

We are dedicated to excellence in research by adhering to the ENCePP Guide on Methodological Standards and promoting scientific independence and transparency.

We register studies in the ENCePP E-Register of Studies, a publicly accessible resource for the registration of pharmacoepidemiological and pharmacovigilance studies.
