Information

What is the study about

Researchers at the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health (NICHE), Ulster University, Coleraine, are recruiting healthy volunteers for an intervention study using mango puree. You would attend the University on two consecutive days, between mid-late January 2020 through March 2020.

We are determining the bioavailability of mango polyphenols following a one-off consumption.

Who do we need

  • healthy adults (not living with any GI-related disease/condition)
  • aged 18-70 years
  • non-smokers

What are we asking for

As part of an acute mango puree feeding study participants would be asked to follow a restriction diet for 48 hrs, and provide a total of 10 blood samples, 4 urine samples and 2 faecal samples over a 24 hr period. Height and weight measures will also be taken as a part of this study.

How could you benefit

A discretionary honorarium to the value of £100 will be available for all participants who complete the study.
