The Centre for Sports Science and Sports Medicine (CSSSM) at Ulster University is recognised as a leading academic centre and draws upon over 30 years of sports science research experience.

Our primary strategic research theme is 'Healthy Communities'.

CSSSM has established an authoritative analysis of factors leading to successful sports performance, sports injury mechanisms and rehabilitation.

The Centre is supported by a strong laboratory infrastructure equipped for basic and applied studies that are internationally excellent.  Our research is published by leading academic publishers, peer-reviewed journals and policy outlets.
