About Behavioural Neuroscience and Behaviour Analysis

Here at the Behavioural neuroscience and behaviour analysis centre our research is important to us.

We have three fields of interest and expertise:

  • Behavioural neuroscience where recent work has been on Alzheimer's disease and behavioural extinction

  • The experimental analysis of behaviour with work on stimulus equivalence and work in progress on eye tracking as an operant response and conceptual analysis of consciousness

  • Applied behaviour analysis (ABA) with work on education of children with autism, support and training for parents of children with autism and teaching reading in mainstream education.

We have current PhD students and international collaborators in many of the research areas.

In 2015-16, two post-doctoral research fellows in ABA joined us, this was funded by the ASSISTID programme which equips postdoctoral researchers with multidisciplinary skills to enable them assume leadership roles in intellectual disability research.
