Our range of extended Master’s are for students who don’t meet the entry requirements for postgraduate study, whilst our Master’s with Advanced Practice includes either a 15-week internship or applied consulting project.

    Overview

    This programme will enable students to acquire a knowledge and understanding of the political, social and cultural aspects of different trade blocs, particularly the European Union, Asia and the USA.

    This programme is designed to provide a coherent academic progression for students who will explore the overall environment in which international business takes place. Core management techniques are analysed from varying perspectives to understand their application on an international scale.

    The unique selling point of this programme is the richness from the diverse student base which progresses through this programme of study. Sharing experiences from varied cultural, economic and employment backgrounds is invaluable.

    The MSc International Business with Advanced Practice aims to allow you to acquire mastery of both the macro and micro contexts of international business, with the addition of either an internship or applied consulting project.

    The compulsory Advanced Practice element of this will enable you to undertake a 15-week long internship, or applied consulting project, working with a real organisation on a live business problem. This gives you the opportunity to gain experience of the workplace environment and/or practical experience of the “real world” issues faced by those currently engaged in international business.

    The Extended MSc International Business with Advanced Practice not only allows entry for students with qualifications equivalent to a standard degree (third-class, pass or ordinary) but also integrates a work internship or an applied consulting project before your final semester, offering you an opportunity to gain valuable workplace environment experience.

    Overview

    Imbued with an emphasis on entrepreneurial thinking and practice, the MSc Marketing programme has evolved in line with the needs of the regional economy which it serves, responding as the learning needs and learning styles of its participants have altered and adapted as Northern Ireland more fully takes its place in the global market.

    This course is an academically challenging and strategically relevant programme in advanced marketing study, with a particular emphasis on entrepreneurship. The programme is distinctive in exploring leading edge thinking from scholarly sources, alongside a diet rich in the practical application of marketing.

    The programme has been designed in conjunction with senior marketing executives from industry as well as local entrepreneurs. It addresses the strategic imperative that companies must become more marketing focused and more professional and entrepreneurial in the practice of marketing.

    UUBS is a member of The Babson Collaborative for Entrepreneurship Education founded and sponsored by Babson College, MA, USA. The innovative resources provided by Babson Collaborative are used within the delivery of modules on this programme.
