Managing and Supporting Wellbeing
The skills required to support the health and wellbeing of your staff.
Supporting staff is a key part of a manager’s role particularly at a time when a member of staff is unable to attend work due to ill health.
This module offers guidance and support on issues relating to promoting employee wellbeing and attendance.
This is a flexible module and can be completed on any of the available dates.
The module will be spilt into three lessons covering the following areas:
- Wellbeing - this lesson will help you better understand how to confidently and sensitively support the mental health and well-being of staff and colleagues.
- Health and Safety - this lesson will equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage your team at Ulster University.
- Attendance Management – this module will cover main aspects of attendance management including roles and responsibilities, policy framework, reporting procedures and sources of advice and support will be covered.
Module duration: One day in person with supplementary learning activities throughout the month.
