Supporting staff is a key part of a manager’s role particularly at a time when a member of staff is unable to attend work due to ill health.

This module offers guidance and support on issues relating to promoting employee wellbeing and attendance.

The module will be spilt into three lessons covering the following areas:

  • Wellbeing - this lesson will help you better understand how to confidently and sensitively support the mental health and well-being of staff and colleagues.
  • Health and Safety - this lesson will equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage your team at Ulster University.
  • Attendance Management – this module will cover main aspects of attendance management including roles and responsibilities, policy framework, reporting procedures and sources of advice and support will be covered.

Flexible module

This is a flexible module and can be completed on any of the available dates.

One day in person with supplementary learning activities throughout the month.
