A senior delegation from the Abu Dhabi emergency services recently visited Ulster University to discuss co-operation in the areas of emergency trauma, working in emergency settings, major incident and search and rescue.

Ulster University Chamber Choir hits a high note with upcoming Carnegie Hall performance
Ulster University Chamber Choir are heading to New York for a performance in Carnegie Hall titled ‘The Great War: Commemorating 60 years’. Esteemed composer Paul Mealor will conduct ‘Requiem: The Souls of the Righteous’ and Patrick Hawes the ‘The Great War Symphony’ on the 11th of November in their United States debut. Principle soloist of the Ulster University Chamber Choir and final year Music student, Kerry Stamp has been chosen for a prestigious solo in Mealor’s Requiem.

Professor Roger Austin and Dr Stephen Roulston from Ulster University’s School of Education, along with colleagues from QUB and Dublin City University have been awarded the Inaugural John Coolahan Award for their research report on ‘Teacher Education Tutors’ Practice in ICT: North and South’.

Ulster University launch Quantity Surveying Placement & Graduate Training Charter
Ulster University’s placement and graduate training charter has secured endorsement from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The pilot project trialled in collaboration with construction employers across Northern Ireland recognises best practice by employers who provide structured training to all quantity surveying undergraduate students, through a joint training chartership.
