Magee Campus, 2018

Students studying for the LLM at Magee Campus will now have the opportunity to study legal technology and innovation as part of the new LLM subject, 'Legal Technology: Information and Informatics'.

Traditional law and technology courses have looked to the regulation of new technologies, and therefore the restrictive power of law on the use and development of new technologies (in terms of privacy, intellectual property, security). This module looks at the other side of the picture; the ways in which new technological developments will influence the future development of law and legal service provision (both in the public and private sector). Over a week intensive course, students will develop chatbots, explore the changing nature of the legal profession, learn coding skills and be exposed to issues of access to justice that arise in the digital space.

See our course page for more information.
