Banner - Student Information System

The Banner Student Information System is a database of student records and information maintained by Ulster University. The system retains student data relating to: Admissions, Courses, Tuition Fees, Personal Information, Email Address, Password, Student and Financial Aid.

How do I Login to Banner?

You can login to Banner either through the Portal or directly.

Login through the Portal

Connect to Banner by logging in to the Portal and then click on the Banner link on the toolbar.

Login to Banner Directly

  1. Go to:
  2. Select the link "Login to Student and Faculty Self Service"

  3. Input your User ID and PIN (your initial PIN is your date of birth in the format DDMMYY)
  4. Select the Login button

How do I retrieve my network password and email address?

  1. Login to Banner as shown above
  2. Select the "Personal Information" tab
  3. Select the "View Student ID, Password and Email Address" link
  4. You can now access your:
    • Network Password
    • Email Address
    Please note the password is case sensitive.

How do I check my registration status in Banner, for Blackboard access?

  1. Login to Banner as shown above
  2. Select the "Student and Financial Aid" tab
  3. Select the "Registration" menu option
  4. Select the "Enrolment Status History" menu option
  5. If you are registered correctly, your code should be shown as "RE" and "Registered" on the date you completed on-line enrolment. If anything else is shown as a code, you must liaise with Student Administration to resolve this.
