Information Services is a major University administrative department with responsibilities covering library, academic and administrative computing, digital communications, media-technology services and reprographic services.

Service Description

Information Services support teaching and learning throughout the University by providing fixed and portable AV/Media Technology facilities in centrally bookable teaching and learning spaces throughout our four campuses. Over 80% of the rooms we support have fixed facilities; we can provide portable AV/Media equipment to the remainder ensuring their setup adheres to health and safety regulations.

Supporting Materials

Rooms with fixed facilities have user instructions displayed, these may be attached to the wall, table or equipment depending on the room layout. Should you require a personal copy, please contact our Service Desk on extension 66777.

In addition to displayed instructions, ICT Customer Services also provide Classroom technology training sessions to help staff familiarise themselves with the Fixed IT and audiovisual equipment available to them in the majority of teaching rooms. These sessions occur prior to the start of semesters 1 and 2, and are advertised on the ICT Customer Services website, and via an all-staff email. Should you require training in any of our facilities outside of the scheduled training sessions, please contact our Service Desk, details below.

There is no cost associated with the AV/Media loans service in support of teaching and learning. If equipment and/or support is required for an external event or conference, charges will be incurred, see separate catalogue entry on Event Support.
