Information for applicants from Ireland

Undergraduate courses

Each programme will have slightly different requirements, both in terms of overall points and certain subjects, so please check the relevant subject in the Undergraduate on-line prospectus.

Generally, students completing Higher Secondary School Certificates at the end of Standard XII will usually be eligible for entry to the first year of undergraduate courses provided they have achieved a minimum of 70% overall.

Postgraduate courses

Typically we require applicants for taught masters programmes (MA, MSc, MRes, MBA, MPA, LLM) to hold a bachelors degree (usually in a relevant subject) with a good grade.

Entry requirements will vary dependant on recognition of University and scoring system used.

As a guide, a score of between 60-80% is considered comparable to a UK 2.1, while a score of between 50-69% is considered comparable to a UK 2.2, depending on the ranking of the institution.
