Scholarships

If you are currently studying with us and would like to internationalise your Ulster University experience by studying and/or working abroad, information on University scholarships and other external sources of funding can be found below.

The European Funding Guide website contains lots of useful information on scholarships, grants and loans that may be available to help you finance your studies abroad.

Information provided on external sources of funding is for guidance only as details are subject to change. Where applicable, please refer to the source website for the most up-to-date and accurate information.

Shandong Scholarship

The British Council – Shandong Scholarship is jointly funded by the British Council in China and the Shandong Provincial Education Department and is for UK students looking to undertake a term (approximately five months) of study in Shandong.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation fees, living allowance (1200 RMB per month, approximately, 120 GBP a month) and medical insurance.

You will need to cover the cost of your own flights, visas, vaccinations and any other costs related to your travel.

Tianjin Scholarship

The British Council – Tianjin Scholarship is jointly funded by the British Council in China and the Tianjin Municipal Education Committee and is for UK students looking to undertake a term (approximately five months) of study at Tianjin Polytechnic Institution.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation fees, living allowance (1200 RMB per month, approximately, 120 GBP a month) and medical insurance.

You will need to cover the cost of your own flights, visas, vaccinations and any other costs related to your travel.

Education New Zealand – "Dream NEW" Scholarship

New Zealand's "Dream NEW" scholarship has been designed for students who dream big, crave adventure and set their sights on new horizons. It is for those wanting to realise their vision in the forward-thinking education climate of New Zealand – a country where innovation flourishes, and where people from all over the world come together to follow their dreams.

Scholarships are valued at up to NZD$ 12,500 (approx. €7,500 / £5,800) each and will allow you to study at one of New Zealand's highly-ranked, world class universities. The scholarship will cover tuition fees for students undertaking a Study Abroad programme for one semester commencing in February/March 2017. You will need to pay for flights, accommodation and other costs related to your travel.

Each of New Zealand's eight universities are offering one "Dream NEW" scholarship. Candidates can choose to study at Auckland University of Technology, Lincoln University, Massey University, University of Auckland, University of Canterbury, University of Otago, University of Waikato or Victoria University of Wellington.
