Information for applicants from Indonesia.
Each course will have slightly different requirements, both in terms of overall points and certain subjects, so please check the relevant subject in the Undergraduate on-line prospectus.
Applicants normally require a recognised foundation course for entry onto undergraduate degree programmes at the University.
The Surat Tanda Tamat Belajar Sekolah Menengah Umum Tingkat Atas (STTB-SMA) or Senior Secondary School Certificate of Completion is not sufficient for direct entry to undergraduate courses.
Typically we require applicants for taught Masters programmes (MA, MSc, MRes, MBA, MPA, LLM) to hold a Bachelors degree (usually in a relevant subject) with a grade equivalent to a UK upper second class honours.
Applicants who have completed an S1 of four years duration can be considered for admission onto a one year masters degree. We normally require a GPA of 3 (out of 4).
English Language Entry Requirements
To study at Ulster University, you need good English, and we will need to see recent evidence of this (certified within the last 2 years).
Most of our courses require a minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, with no band score under 5.5. Trinity ISE: Pass at level III also meets this requirement.
Some courses have higher language prerequisites – please check entry requirements on the relevant course webpage.
You may be asked for a Secure English Language Test (SELT) certificate: IELTS or Trinity Integrated Skills in English (ISE), or you may hold other English language qualifications that we can recognise. Please see Here for the complete list of English language tests/qualifications which Ulster University may recognise.
Our Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) offers a range of English language courses, which are designed to prepare international students with the necessary language skills for academic study at Ulster University.
