Pre-sessional Standard
Students who meet or exceed the minimum English requirements and hold an unconditional offer for their chosen degree can benefit from the English language and study skills learnt on the Pre-sessional Standard course.

Entry Requirements
To join Pre-sessional standard you must have either:
- An unconditional offer from Ulster
- A conditional offer from Ulster University with an overall IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent with no more than one skill below this (minimum 5.0)
Important Information
If you require a Tier 4 visa you must take an IELTS for UKVI (academic) test at an approved UKVI IELTS centre only (UK Visa application guide )
Assessment
You will be assessed by both coursework and final examinations. At the end of your studies, a report is sent to your Course Director.
