Course Details
This module is designed to provide students with practical experience in AI implementation, focusing on real-world challenges, state-of-the-art techniques, and industry best practices.
Students will gain an understanding of how AI is developed and deployed across various industrial sectors, remain up-to-date with the latest state-of-the-art technologies, and appreciate the challenges faced during AI implementation.
A key feature of this module is the integration of real-world experiences from industry professionals who will share their experiences through case studies.
This approach ensures that students gain practical and relevant insights into authentic AI implementation.
These case studies will cover a range of topics, including the practicalities of AI deployment, the technical challenges encountered, the extent of ethical and responsible AI practices used throughout development, and the cutting-edge tools and frameworks that they use to construct and support their AI systems.
Students will analyse real-world case studies, evaluating how organisations integrate AI into their workflows, and assess the technical limitations, implementation challenges, and potential performance, ethical and responsible trade-offs. They will apply this knowledge by exploring and understanding how state-of-the-art AI tools, frameworks, and methodologies are used for AI design and deployment, ensuring they remain informed about the latest industry developments.
Career Options
This module provides students with practical expertise in AI implementation. Students will gain knowledge about the latest industry-standard AI tools, and acquire the skills necessary to understand and navigate the changing landscape of AI technology.
They will be equipped with foundational knowledge to support the deployment and optimisation of AI systems within real-world settings, focusing on high-level and practical approaches.
Students who successfully complete this module may be eligible for an exemption on the MSc or PgCert in Ethical and Responsible Artificial Intelligence programs.
