Ranked as the highest non-US scholar in Entrepreneurship, his book Understanding the Small Business Sector, published in 1994, is in ninth place overall in the Entrepreneurship “core works” – again the highest place for a scholar with no US affiliations.
He has received the International Award for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Research from the Swedish Council and has also been honoured by the International Council for Small Business. He was a Member of the UK’s Small Business Council which advised the government on small business policy-making and is Consultant to a number of governments, the OECD. World Bank and the EU.
The launch event is an opportunity for networking and for purchasing a signed copy of this updated edition.
