Public engagement and consultation with advance care planning

Ulster University, supported by the Public Health Agency, Patient and Client Council, All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care, and Palliative Care Research Forum Northern Ireland, are hosting a workshop to engage members of the public with advance care planning.

Advance Care Planning (ACP) is a broad term covering personal, clinical, legal, and financial planning that enables a person to think about their present and plan for their future.

What: Virtual workshop

Where: Online

When: 17th September 2021, 14.30-16.00

Why: to share information on advance care planning based on recent research, provide space to think about what ACP means on a personal level, and create an opportunity to engage in policy consultations.

Those attending the workshop will have the opportunity to participate by using the question and answer function and by using an online app called Mentimeter (for information see www.mentimeter.com). Mentimeter can be accessed through;

  1. your Internet browser at www.menti.com or
  2. you can download the Mentimeter App from your App store.

At the start of the event, a Mentimeter code will be provided to allow you to interact. Please note, if you wish to participate in the workshop but not the research, please do not respond to the questions posed on Mentimeter at the workshop. Any information collected will be anonymous and cannot be removed.
