HERSTORY is a new cultural movement created to tell the lost life stories of historical, contemporary and mythological women.
The Herstory project has run a series of well-publicised outreach events over the past year, hearing women’s stories, bringing women out of the shadows of history, and celebrating their contributions to culture and the arts, history, and the sciences. We hope that the Ulster Herstory salon will be a memorable, inspiring evening for participants and audience alike.
The Ulster ‘Herstory Salon’ will take place on 20 May 2017, in Portrush Town Hall, 6:30-9pm. The event will be free and open to the public.
We invite participants to make 10-minute presentations or performances. We welcome contributions that speak to the Herstory Project's aim of celebrating women’s histories, stories, and contributions to culture and public life, past and present.
Please contact Dr Angela Byrne (@historianka) if you would like to contribute, or have any questions and include @HerstoryIreland to join the conversation on twitter #Herstory
