Rethinking Global Water Issues

An estimated 2.2 billion people need access to safe drinking water.

This problem is more significant in rural communities in developing countries, where many still drink contaminated water.

The SAFEWATER project is an initiative between Ulster University and partner organisations (academic and non-academic) in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico to help people in rural areas gain access to clean water for domestic use.

During this online event, we will demonstrate how existing knowledge in business and marketing can tackle a global challenge by looking at clean water solutions.

This event will be led by Janeet Rondon-Sulbaran, Michael Brennan and Ian Balam, Department of Marketing, Management and Leadership at Ulster University.

The webinar will be followed by a Q&A session.

This is part of the 2021 ESRC Festival of Social Science
