Whilst the impact of climate change on water and extreme weather events are very familiar, how climate change affects the rapid spread of disease is less commonly known.

This online event aims to explain how the impacts of climate change can increase the risk of infectious disease and how hand hygiene can be the first and the last defence against these diseases.

The session will use a practical demonstration to show the impact of good and poor hand hygiene on pathogens, along with an expert discussion.

Led by Dr Marie Vaganay Miller, Lecturer in Environmental Health, Ulster University.
