Happy Chinese New Year - Year of the Tiger 虎年快乐

Join Ulster University Confucius Institute for a virtual celebration of Chinese New Year on 28th January at 11am. Enjoy vibrant performances, traditional music and dance, and cultural displays from the comfort of your own home.

This is a free online event, and everyone is welcome to join. This event is sure to lift your spirits and bring joy, colour and Zen into your home.

  • Traditional Irish Music and Dance in association with Music at Magee, Ulster University: Moya Sweeney – accordion, Odhran Sweeney – guitar and Mary McGuiggan - Irish step dancer
  • Traditional Irish Dancing performed by the McEntegart School of Irish dancing in Newry
  • Traditional Ulster-Scots Lambeg drumming and fifing medley: Lambeg Drummer, Craig Sloan and Fifer, Matthew Warwick
