This is a special weekend of discovery for our local community.  As part of the golden 50 anniversary celebrations, the local community are invited to the Coleraine campus to discover more about our 9,000 year old history from the Mesolithic to more recent times.

You can discover:

  • evidence of the earliest people on the island of Ireland, from over 9,000 years ago
  • medieval forts
  • a deserted 18th-century village
  • a shipwreck
  • a Lego model of the Armada

(The event flyer is also available here if you would like to know more.)

Students and staff from the School of Geography and Environmental Sciences will be available to guide visitors through the campus's heritage trail.

Visitors are also welcome to discover the campus's past on a self-guided tour, with maps and information provided on the day.
