The Invincible Armada's Presence in Ireland: New Historical, Archaeological and Literary Interpretations will be taking place on Friday, April 5, Room LT 7, Main Building, Coleraine Campus.

The conference will feature a series of academic lectures from renowned national and international specialists on the historical, literal and archaeological aspects of the Spanish Armada and its legacy in Ireland and the British Isles. This will be followed by various cultural events.

The event is part of Ulster University 50 years' Celebrations and 50 years since the discovery of the Girona Galleass. It is sponsored and organized by the Coleraine Campus Provost, the School of Arts and Humanities and the North Coast Armada Connection. Our guest of honour is the Consul General of Spain in the UK, Mr Miguel Ángel Vecino Quintana, who will open the proceedings.

Attendance is free of charge. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and attendees will be able to enjoy a lunch hot fork buffet.
