The 2015 UK Budget introduced a new National Living Wage for all workers aged 25 and over, and took effect in April 2016. It is the UK Government’s goal for the National Living Wage to rise to 60% of median earnings by 2020.

Based on analysis of data from the 2018 Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings, this final report by Ulster University estimates the economic and fiscal implications associated with the National Living Wage in Northern Ireland in 2020, focussing on the impact across different areas of the local economy.
