Nursing students undertake a range of additional preparation, education and training throughout the programme which is not directly linked to module assessment.

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of personal development planning and reflection in relation to academic, professional qualities
  • Understand the relevance of learning experiences and the application of knowledge, skills and professional development to nursing
  • Advance their self-confidence in a variety of academic and clinical skills
  • Develop their clinical nursing skills and relate the importance of evidence informed practice in nursing and medicine.

Assessment Details

Students will complete a record of each activity and record 3 things that they have learned from the activity and three things they will take into clinical practice.

Participation should be verified by the organiser of the event or Debbie Goode.

Students should submit this account to Debbie within 2 weeks of the final activity.

Level of Commitment

30 hours in total:

Organisation, Preparation, Reflection and Recording:At least 5 hours
Participation and Involvement in training:At least 25 hours
