Outline of Activity

A five week project (6 hrs per week) for students who wish to volunteer to create Irish language resources using Smartphone and iPad technology.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will work as part of the research team within the Research Institute of Irish and Celtic
  • Studies in developing CLIL-based resources to help adult learners of Irish.
  • They will give and receive written and oral/aural feedback and will conduct market research and trial their products in real-life scenarios.
  • Students will work independently and as members of small groups.

Assessment Details

  • Presentation of activities to peers both in groups and individually.
  • Contribution to group discussions.
  • Evidence of reflection in weekly reflective log.

Level of Commitment

Students will work in groups of 3-4. Each group will be expected to produce topic-specific learning activities, one activity per group member.
There will be a total commitment of 30 hours to this project, including a weekly meeting of the group with the project tutor and time spent developing materials and completing the weekly reflective log (200 words).
