Excel Skills Training

Half day training session organised by a key professional services/ accounting practice on Excel skills.


Outline of Activity

Accounting, Finance and Economics students) Excel training and utilizing spreadsheets for data analysis followed by a student reflection on pre-session versus post session Excel and data analysis skills and how to utilise them within the remainder of their programme.

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate initiative, independence and effective self-management through regular reflection and recognise the need for ongoing skills development and personal development planning.
  • Develop effective written and oral communication skills and identify the importance of technology in the academic and professional environment.

Assessment Details

A 1,000 word reflection on pre-session versus post session Excel and data analysis skills and how to utilise them within the remainder of their programme supported by examples.

Level of Commitment

30 hours to include:
