Voluntary Sports Coaching in the Community

Student completes a National Governing Body Coaching Qualification which is at a level that allows student to coach independently. This must be from a National Governing Body of Sport which is affiliated to either Sport Northern Ireland or the Irish Sports Council.

Voluntary (non paid) sports coaching at a sports club or in partnership with a sporting organisation.

Learning Outcomes

Assessment Details

Keep a logbook up to date will ensure you receive the credit you deserve for the work you are doing, and it will also encourage you to reflect on your experiences.

Level of Commitment

20 hours to include:

The students must volunteer as a coach in a sport for a local club or community association / sports club / sporting organisation.
