Covid 19 Volunteers

Covid 19 Volunteers Civic Contribution award is recognising those students who have given time to others during the Covid 19 crisis in Northern Ireland.


Outline of Activity

Students are encouraged to volunteer in their local community during this time of crisis in Northern Ireland. This can be by registering with Volunteer Now, assisting the vulnerable in their community or making clothing for health workers

Learning Outcomes

Through completion of these volunteering activities you will:

- enhance resilience and strength of character
- develop interpersonal skills by working with people from the community
- improve time management skills by dividing your time between community work and university work

Assessment Details

You will be required to complete a short piece of work on your experience as a Covid 19 Volunteer. This will take the format of a written article (no more than 800 words) on what you have been doing, how you have felt while doing it & what skills you have gained.

Level of Commitment

Students will be required to evidence that they given time to help others to during the Covid 19 crisis
