Starting your own business is a key career option and this activity helps students understand the fundamentals of starting a business. Working as part of a team of at least 10 students you will launch and run a business.
This programme will see students buy shares, appoint a board of directors, launch a product or services, trade for 5 months before winding up the company and sharing the profits. Each campus team will have an Academic Enterprise Advisor, Industry Business Advisor and Admin Assistant to help with the workload of running a business alongside their studies.
Each student on each campus will submit a 500 reflection piece on their role within the company i.e. Marketing Director and complete a self-assessment form submitted to Young Enterprise Northern Ireland.
Students will be expected to attend fortnightly board meetings on their campus in semester one and two.
The programme launches in October and finishes in April each year.
