Student Entrepreneur Awards

The Student Entrepreneur Awards offers third level students from all academic disciplines and courses of study the opportunity to realise their entrepreneurial ambitions.


Outline of Activity

This competition requires an application process, which if successful will allow students to compete for the opportunity to win a €10,000 investment and the opportunity to avail of €30,000 worth of specialist advice and assistance to potentially help turn your enterprise idea into a business reality.

Learning Outcomes

This competition will drive students to develop their public speaking and presentation skills in order to pitch to the judges. This will also require students to develop their business ideas which they will present to the judges. Students should be developing their marketing and entrepreneurial skills through out the process.

Assessment Details

No further assessment should be required.

Level of Commitment

20 hours to include:

The design and development of their concept or product

Any meetings with UUSU Enterprise

Developing their presentations and pitch

This time commitment should also include the time taken to attend each stage of the competition
