Our politics programme was refreshed recently to deepen the international aspects of our degree. Students study local, national and global politics in a supportive and vibrant environment. Our programme is delivered by internationally recognised experts involved in real-world research.

Politics at Ulster University encourages students to meet high academic standards. We are student focused and it is important to us that each student receives dedicated forms of support to reach their full potential. Our Research

Our academics are internationally established experts in their respective research areas. Our programme is research-led, and students benefit from teaching delivered by staff engaged in real-world research. We have conducted research in the UK and Ireland, and as far afield as Africa, Colombia and the Middle East. Our teaching provides our students with the tools to understand local and global environments, our real-world research illustrates how studying politics can make a real difference to people’s everyday lives.

Our Vision

We believe that each student who completes our degree should have the skills and capacities to develop their careers. We have a strong emphasis on core employability skills and provide regular bespoke employability classes for our students to ensure they have much to offer employers when they graduate and throughout their working lives. Our suite of postgraduate programmes provide opportunities for further study.
