Research and Consent under the Human Tissue Act (2004) (Online)
The Human Tissue Act (2004) requires organisations carrying out research with human tissue to be licensed and to have appropriate procedures and training in place.
The University holds a licence from the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) to obtain, store and research human cellular material. This mandatory two hour course/workshop will introduce you to the Act, including its history, what it means for the University and you as an individual, essential procedures and maintaining compliance.
