Are you interested in conducting a systematic literature review?
Would you like to find out more about the steps involved, or have a refresher in this area?
This hands-on workshop is aimed at staff and PhD researchers in the computing, engineering and built environment disciplines. It will build upon existing search skills focusing on techniques for systematic searching including:
- developing your research question
- breaking down a question into keywords
- advanced search techniques including proximity searching and wildcards
- recording the search process and search results
- translating your search from one database to another
- using indexing and controlled vocabulary
- going beyond the library’s collections (grey literature)
