Are you interested in conducting a systematic literature review?
Would you like to find out more about the steps involved, or have a refresher in this area?

This hands-on workshop is aimed at staff and PhD researchers in the computing, engineering and built environment disciplines. It will build upon existing search skills focusing on techniques for systematic searching including:

  • developing your research question
  • breaking down a question into keywords
  • advanced search techniques including proximity searching and wildcards
  • recording the search process and search results
  • translating your search from one database to another
  • using indexing and controlled vocabulary
  • going beyond the library’s collections (grey literature)
