The Deputy Vice-Chancellor provides strategic and academic governance across the University and deputises for the Vice Chancellor.
He has direct line management and leadership responsibility for Executive Deans, overseeing business performance and sustainability of the University's faculties and leads on academic planning.
He also has direct line management responsibility for providing leadership in civic and societal partnership, development through the Directors of Regional and Community Engagement and the Northern Ireland Confucius Institute at Ulster University.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor is supported by an executive support team who is responsible for diary management and coordination of high profile visits and events.
