About

This qualification teaches about the key grape varieties grown around the world, the different styles of wine produced and the production of spirits and liqueurs. It also incorporates elements of food and wine tasting.

The aim of this two day course is to focus on the key grape varieties and regions of the world, and principal varieties of spirits.

Successful students will receive a certificate and WSET Level 2 Award in wine lapel.

- Key Black Grape Varieties

- Sparkling wines
- Sweet wines and fortified wines
- Spirits and Liqueurs
- Label Terminology
- Food and Wine Pairing
- THE WSET Level 2 systematic approach to Tasting Wine

Assessment

To gain the qualification you need to pass a multiple choice paper of 50 questions.

Attendance

This two day course takes place on the Belfast campus of Ulster University with a sepearte date for examination.

16th October 2017 (9.15 am – 4.30 pm)
23rd October 2017 (9.15 am – 4.30 pm)
