The objective of this short course is to develop an understanding of the genesis, evolution and development of EU legislation of the Dairy Sector with particular reference to the manufacturing/processing sector and to highlight the current issues in this area.

Note: It is suggested that participants should take IFST Short Course FOOD LAW & FOOD REGULATION before taking part in this course.

  • Overview of the Dairy Sector
  • EU legislation in the Dairy Sector
  • Market regulation; quality measures; labeling measures, other horizontal measures
  • Non-regulated aspects

Assessment

A multiple choice questionnaire will be offered to students as a tool for self-assessment of the acquired knowledge.

This course is self-paced and open for enrolment at any time.
